Even with all the scare over swine flu I made and ate pork n beans and enjoyed them. Thirty years or more ago there was a swine flu scare and I remember people avoiding eating pork back then.
Well, I took out my Easter ham remains from the freezer the other day and boiled it up with a pack of Navy beans and it is delicious. If I never post again you will know that I died of swine flu. But I will have died with a belly full of good food.
A little dark humor to lighten the load of the swine flu hysteria. HUGS

That is too funny, Lynn. I took my Easter ham bone and cooked up some blackeyed peas yesterday. Great minds think alike, I guess.
We are back at the Grand Canyon, starting up another season. I am pooped, the altitude here is whooping my butt this week.
I have thought that often...we DO think alike alot...nice...hey, I read the last sentence fast and thought it said, "the attitude here is whooping my butt..." what a difference a letter can make...haha! Glad you are who you are and the way you are...Take care, friend!
I have to eat pork from Whole Foods, as the nitrates/nitrites give me occular migraines. Swine flu hasn't stopped me from eating pork...I just had a little tenderloin last night, so it looks as if we both get swine flu from the pork, at least we go together.
